In this section we present some molecules from our research projects, which we think may be interesting because of their structure or their chemical or biological properties. Every month we will try add a new molecule to this collection. Some of these pages contain hyperactive 3D images in formats such as pdb (protein database). To view these files you will need a 3D viewer program such as Rasmol (which you can download from the Sun Site Northern Europe ) or WebLab Viewer (which you can download from Molecular Simulations Inc. ). Once you have installed Rasmol or WebLab Viewer in your hard disk, you must set the Helper types in your Browser configuration to recognise the following MIME type: chemical/x-pdb and filename suffix .pdb, and associate this with Rasmol or WebLab Viewer. If you have configured correctly, then clicking on the images in the display should activate your viewer with the molecule in its window. Another option, wich does not require an external helper program, it is to use a plug-in for Netscape 2+ called Chemscape CHIME. You can get a free copy of CHIME from MDL Chemscape Chime.
