Teaching and Research Staff Works Council

The labour Teaching and Research Staff Works Council (PDI) of University of Extremadura is the representative and collegiate body of all workers of this community responsible for defending their interests.

Chairman

Mr. Ignacio Ojeda Martínez de Castilla,  Temporary Professor, PhD of the Algebra area attached to the Department of Mathematics; took office on November 28, 2008 as Chairman of the Teaching and Research Staff Works Council.

Mr. José Sánchez González, Temporary Professor, PhD of the Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering area attached to the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Materials  Engineering; took office on October 8, 2008 as Secretary of the Teaching and Research Staff Works Council.

Objetives

 

  • Defend and represent the social and labour, economic, administrative and health interests of the labour PDI attached to the University of Extremadura.
  • Represent the labour PDI in the collegiate organs of University of Extremadura as stated by its Status or the internal regulations thereof.
  • Report, as widely as possible, all the activities to its principals, always identifying the most appropriate procedure.
  • Foster relations within the University of Extremadura, in order to achieve unity among all members by promoting activities and meetings that facilitate communication and the entering into of collective agreements.

Functions

 

The functions of the Teaching and Research Staff Committee are those entrusted by law regarding representation bodies, in pursuance of the interests of the workers it represents.
